Skookum Cider Press: Waiver

I recognize and acknowledge that there are inherent risks and hazards involved in pressing fruit and I agree to assume all such risks and hazards and bear all costs of medical attention.

I hereby remise, release and forever discharge Skookum Food Provisioners’

Cooperative, its employees, and advisory committee, of and from all manner of actions, causes of actions, claims and demands of whatsoever nature which I may have in respect to any injury during and beyond the pressing of fruit to me as well as to others present during the pressing, including any damage caused by the press to public or private property, animals and livestock.

I agree the Skookum press will be left in perfect working order, be cleaned according to the standards outlined in the Guidelines, and be properly stored after use. I will ensure appropriate transportation to a site of my choosing if I take it off site, and will return it at the agreed upon time.

I undersigned am aware that the cider press is communal property and as co-owner, I accept all responsibility for the Skookum Cider Press, and am responsible for the press while it is in my possession.  I accept that I will be held liable for replacement or repair costs if the press is stolen or damaged for any reason whatsoever.

As member/s in good standing of Skookum Food Provisioners’ Cooperative I/We agree to the payment of:

□$50 refundable deposit in cash, cheque or PayPal to use the Skookum cider press at a location of my choosing. I will be returning the press by 11 AM the following morning, unless multi-day use is indicated below.

□$20 cash, cheque or PayPal (see: http://skookumfood.ca) minimum charge for use of the Skookum cider press per 24 hrs (or less) on site at the cider press location, and if I will be using it off-location, I will return the press by 11 AM the following morning.

□$_____ cash, cheque or PayPal (see: http://skookumfood.ca) additional day(s) at $20/ 24 hr period minimum charge, returning the press by 11 AM the morning following the last date indicated below.

Deliver or mail cheques to 4468 Marine Avenue ∙ Powell River, BC ∙CANADA ∙ V8A 2K2 or pay online using PayPal. Please name cheques out to SFPC.

I have read this indemnity and release of liability and accept its terms.  I understand the above terms apply to both single and joint membership holders.
